‘AWAKE’ Showcases Female Performers Every Thursday at The Raven Playhouse

Los Angeles is a city swarming with artists of all kinds, working hard to make their goals as professionals in their respective fields. AWAKE has become an artistic haven for the fast-paced lifestyle that many come to know in LA. Promoted as an introspective movement combining the talents of new and upcoming performers each week, female artists take to the stage and share their art. Founded in 2014 by Abby Wake, AWAKE was designed as a movement for freedom, inspiration, support, and empowerment of fellow female artists in our community. Beyond that, AWAKE is brimming with talent, making it a stronger reason to attend. Performing every Thursday at 8 p.m. at The Raven Playhouse, AWAKE is a staple for any artistic soul, searching for an inclusive experience and to be surrounded by some of the best, young talent in Los Angeles.

Attending a performance at AWAKE will include various performing acts ranging from songwriters, poets, comedians and spoken word artists. Becoming much more than a female sanctuary for support, AWAKE has transformed into a place for men and women to decompress their everyday tensions and revel in the talent laid out before audiences each week.

Created with the idea that women could turn their insecurities and personal fears into art, AWAKE has become a home for many artists that have continued to grow careers and develop the community. Taking over the Raven Playhouse, AWAKE has made their home in a major area of the NoHo Arts District, which reels in many of the surrounding talents and patrons from that area.

If anything, AWAKE has become a catalyst for artists in Los Angeles, giving them the opportunity to share and perform for a growing and receiving audience. Head over to The Raven Playhouse on any Thursday at 8 p.m. to become a part of the AWAKE movement and discover the enriching talent and uplifting spirit that all AWAKE artists will instill in every audience member.
