Masters of Taste Brings Luxurious Food Festival to Pasadena’s Rose Bowl

Another gastronomic celebration will take over the field of Pasadena’s historic Rose Bowl this April with the inaugural Masters of Taste. The festival will gather 40 master chefs and restaurants with 25 spirit producers, wineries and breweries for an afternoon of luxurious taste with live entertainment, lifestyle and beauty brands. Approximately 2,500 guests are expected to attend this launch event on Sunday, April 3.

Some of the confirmed chefs participating at this event include Tim Guiltinan (The Raymond 1886), Calogero Drago (Celestino), Brendan Collins (Birch), Yoya Takahashi (Hamasaku), Shigefumi Tachibe (Osawa), Neal Fraser (Redbird), Kyle Schutte (Wood & Vine) and Chris Crary (Hyde Sunset), to name a few. Finish on a sweet note with some delectable desserts including single origin chocolate and vanilla ice creams from Choctal, cupcakes from Sprinkles and Danish pastries from Copenhagen Pastry.

There will be plenty of libations flowing from a barrel-aged cocktail bar by Erik Lund (Alexander’s Steakhouse) along with signature cocktails from Peter Lloyd-Jones (1886 Bar) and Nighthawk Breakfast Bar. Mixologist and sommelier Adam Seger will also be introducing his newly launched Balsam Spirits. Beers will be available from a number of breweries such as Goose Island Beer Co. from Chicago; local favorite Golden Road Brewing; Elysian Brewing from Seattle and 10 Barrel Brewing Co. out of Oregon. A specially curated selection of wines will be poured from Herzog Wine Cellars, Four Brix Winery and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates among others. For guests looking for non-alcoholic drinks to quench their thirst throughout the afternoon, there will be coffee from Demitasse Roastery and Kitchen, kombucha from Kombucha Dog and cold-pressed juices from Nekter Juice Bar.

General admission tickets are $125 and include unlimited tastings from 4-7 p.m. VIP tickets are available for $225 and include an early admission at 3 p.m., access to VIP lounges and seating with butler-assisted dining service along with limited release tastings. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Union Station Homeless Services, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless men, women and children rebuild their lives.
