Thinkspace Presents ‘Entry Point: Exploring the New Contemporary Movement’ at Fullerton Museum Center

A fresh collection of works is on view at a new and eclectic exhibit at the Fullerton Museum Center, curated by Thinkspace. Featuring various artists from a variety of practices and backgrounds, “Entry Point: Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” introduces visitors to the blossoming New Contemporary Art Movement by bringing us work from over 40 renowned international artists. The New Contemporary Art Movement itself brings us an exhibition that is truly for the people; with pieces rooted in an eclectic cocktail of street art, pop culture, comics and illustration, this diverse multidisciplinary mix of artists and works is sure to have something that resonates with each of us.

With the intention of sparking a dialogue that inspires viewers to learn about themselves and our world, Fullerton Museum Center is dedicated to presenting exhibitions and educational programs focused on history, art, science and humanities. Facilitating creative and critical thinking about our story as both local and global cultures, FMC has invited Thinkspace to bring its world of New Contemporary Art to life in their community. Thinkspace, ever committed to young and emerging art, is a collective located in the arts district of Culver City. Since ’05, the institution has advocated an awareness of the New Contemporary Art Movement and its artists. As the scene, which exists somewhere in a nexus of pop culture, graphic art and street art, expands globally at an ever increasing rate, Thinkspace aims to provide an institutional cornerstone for the growing movement. Providing both recognition and proliferation for artists involved in the New Contemporary Art Movement, Thinkspace is committed to fostering the vision and dreams of the artists who are passionately telling our stories.

Artists from all over the United States, Canada, Australia, Venezuela, France and Spain showcase their interdisciplinary mix of abstract street art, expressionism, oil painting, printing, mixed media and more. This Thinkspace curated gallery at FMC is the perfect introduction for anyone curious about the New Contemporary Art Movement, its themes, stories and possibilities. “Entry Point: Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” gives us a perfect taste of how this movement can relate to us on both a global and local scale.

Entry Point: Exploring the New Contemporary Movement” will be on view through July 15 at Fullerton Museum Center.
