Nicole Meier and Lisa Henthorn with Bellamy Young at Book Soup | June 2
Three women, two tales and one event. “Scandal” star Bellamy Young will be at Book Soup talking with two phenomenal authors about their latest releases. Nicole Meier and Lisa Henthorn have each written new books and are ready to share. Michael Reagan at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 4
Being the child of a celebrity is one thing but being the child of one of the presidents of the free world is a whole other story, and Michael Reagan decided it was time to tell his. His father Ronald Reagan is considered one of the most memorable and popular leaders of the free world but to Michael, he was just a great dad. History buffs and fans of the Reagan legacy will want to check out this book as well as the event.

Manu Saadia at Skylight Books | June 4
“Star Trek” is one of the most beloved series in pop culture whether it be the movies, the television show or the books that have continued to tell new tales of this utopia set in space. Saadia is now diving deeper into the economics of the series with a new book and it’s quite the read for those interested in the series and the current state of our planet.

Firooz Zahedi at Book Soup | June 6
Like many who came into contact with Elizabeth Taylor, Zahedi fell for her in an instant while working as a young photographer early in his career. One thing led to another and they became friends and this book tells partly of his life but also goes into what it was like to be one of Taylor’s closest friends.

Noah Hawley with Bob Odenkirk at Skylight Books | June 6
The creator of the hit FX series “Fargo” will be at Skylight to talk about his career and his new book “Before the Fall” alongside another Hollywood talent, Bob Odenkirk. It’s a first come, first served, free event at Skylight. Those interested in the signing will have to purchase the book at the store starting May 31.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 9
He was one of the great teen heartthrobs of the ‘90s and over time he’s gone behind the scenes but has kept writing and apparently cooking. He and his wife Sarah Michelle Gellar are proud parents and have spent a lot of time in the kitchen. Now he’s put out a cookbook to share his favorite recipes with everyone.

Bruce Cook at Book Soup | June 11
Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston may have brought the story to life on the big screen but it wouldn’t have happened if Cook hadn’t penned the true story in the first place. Now fans of the movie and the real life story can come out and see the man behind “Trumbo.”

GloZell Green at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 11
There was a time that GloZell was an eager woman who seemed to be in the audience of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” every night but all these years later the comedian has found her way into the hearts of millions as an online sensation. She’ll be around to talk about how she went from audience member to main act.

Tyler Oakley at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 12
YouTube cranks out millions of videos a year and not all of them and their personalities will strike a chord with viewers but Oakley did. With 21 million followers on a multitude of platforms, he’s one of the leading voices of the young LGBTQ community today and will be bringing all that charm to L.A. for a book signing. This is one that is bound to cause a hysteria at The Grove.

Steve Hely at Book Soup | June 20
He’s written for “The Office” and “American Dad” and while he’s proved himself to be a man who could no doubt write a joke, he’s gone and written a travel book about his time spent in South America. Hely began closer to home in Mexico City and headed south from there and jotted down all his adventures in 102 short chapters.

Moby at Skirball Cultural Center | June 24
For years, Moby has done his fair share of entertaining. He’s not only created some of the biggest hits in the past couple decades like “South Side” featuring Gwen Stefani but has also dived into the food world by opening his own restaurant in L.A. Now he’s decided to note his accolades, the highs and the lows in between then and now in his new memoir, “Porcelain: A Memoir.” Presented by Book Soup, this event is a big one and warranted the spaciousness of Skirball Center off the 405. Moby will not only be signing books but also doing a talk and Q&A with fans.

Bobby Brown at Book Soup | June 26
If there is one story in music history that needs to be told, it’s Bobby Brown’s. Back in the ‘80s, there was nobody as rebellious as this artist and when he and the late, great Whitney Houston fell on hard times due to drugs the world watched with wide eyes. While they were not together at the time of her death, everyone saw how deep their bond ran. This book lets fans know more about Brown’s life, his time with Houston and will likely leave readers in tears when he opens up about losing her and subsequently their daughter.

Tavis Smiley at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 28
In the years since Michael Jackson’s death many other icons have passed away but none of them caused quite the worldwide sense of grief as the King of Pop’s. Jackson forever defines music, dance and pop culture and Smiley has taken it upon himself to write about the four months prior to the legend’s death to talk about what was going on before the world lost the most recognizable and beloved figures, arguably, ever.

Terry McMillan at Barnes and Noble at The Grove | June 29
The world has McMillan to thank for such amazing classics as “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” and “Waiting To Exhale” both of which were books before hit movies. Now she’s back with what may be the next blockbuster. This time, she follows a woman who quits her great job and sets off to find a more fulfilling life.
