Faith No More Reunite With Chuck Mosley at Troubadour for ‘We Care A Lot’ Reissue Concert

Chuck Mosley reunited with Faith No More for one special night at the Hollywood Troubadour to celebrate the reissue of their 1986 debut “We Care A Lot.” Mosley, dressed to impress with a suit and bowtie, started the set acoustically and treated Angelenos to a taste of his new music before introducing Faith No More.

It was a night of high energy screaming as FNM played the majority of that first album, including “Greed,” “The Jungle,” and “As The Worm Turns” along with “Crab” and “Introduce Yourself” from the “Introduce Yourself” album.

Any hard feelings that may have remained from the past were clearly quashed as everyone slammed around the stage; keyboardist Roddy Bottum even said, “We couldn’t be happier to be the backup band for Chuck here in Hollywood.” Mosley may have had to cheat a couple of times with his notebook in hand, but nobody seemed to notice or care as he rocked around the stage like it was 1986.  Guitarist Jon Hudson brought the massive FNM metal sound all night along with Bottom.

Bottum and band members also joked about the various degrees of talent required to accomplish the “We Care A Lot” album and how they have grown throughout the years and crediting drummer Mike Bordin for performing what they deemed by far the hardest and most demanding job “…for like the past 50 years or something,” Bottum said with a smile to Bordin.

The night wrapped up full speed as Mosley and Billy Gould dropped that timeless bass line to “We Care A Lot” with the crowd bouncing and screaming throughout the packed Troubadour before closing with “Why Do You Bother” and “Ann’s” in an encore that sounded as if they had been playing together throughout all these decades.

Chuck Mosley and Faith No More showed that they really do care a lot at the Troubadour in Hollywood on Aug. 20.
