Jonathan Gold Indulges Angelenos With His 101 Best Restaurants at Los Angeles Times Bite Nite

Veteran Los Angeles Times food critic Jonathan Gold made his name uncovering hidden gems from all corners of the city and beyond, covering everything from the hip and high end to the hole-in-the-wall ethnic enclaves. Gold is the only food critic to win a Pulitzer Prize and was also the subject of a documentary about him and the restaurants he loves.

He continues to introduce Angelenos on the best new places to dine. His list of the 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles has a cult following of food lovers who aim to try every single one and now Angelenos can try many of them in single night at the Los Angeles Times Bite Nite. The event celebrates Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants list each year, an intimate evening filled with great food and the opportunity to mingle with Gold and some of the city’s best chefs.

This year’s event will be held on Oct. 25 at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles, an elegant complex which is a designated Los Angeles Cultural Historic Monument and Official American Treasure. Since the event celebrates the 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles, you can be certain there will be plenty of amazing restaurants serving their signature dishes. The list includes LA’s finest fine dining restaurants such as Providence, Melisse, Cut, and Spago, the chic but more casual restaurants like A.O.C., The Factory Kitchen, ink., Rustic Canyon, Son of a Gun, and Taco Maria, all the way to the affordable ethnic enclaves such as Guerrilla Tacos, Jitlada, and Mayura. From Italian to French to Szechuan to Ethiopian and more, the restaurant lineup showcases the ethnic culinary diversity of our city.

There will be live music by the Fabulous Esquires Big Band and DJs spinning to keep the event lively with funk, Latin music, and international pop music. Tickets are $125 per person, and the event is 21+ only.
