It is the time of the year in Los Angeles when there are plenty of outdoor events to celebrate our weather. Be sure to check out some of the seasonal outdoor cinema screenings that offer you the opportunity to catch some cult favorites in a unique setting. Music in the month of May is buzzing with U2, John Legend Billy Joel, and Bjork all touching down in the City of Angels. If great food is what you desire you can find it at the LA Food Bowl or Eat Drink Vegan. Whatever you’re looking for, The Bucket List has you covered.

Los Angeles Museum of Ice Cream | Through July 10
The traveling installation features a colorful and interactive exhibit about everyone’s favorite treat. Yes, they even have a sprinkles jump tank. The hottest ticket of the season is currently sold-out, but we are all screaming for ice cream, so keep your eyes peeled as the success of the event might encourage an extended run.

Jazz at LACMA | Every Friday Night • April – November 
Enjoy a live night of Jazz at the LACMA and explore the museum through extended hours. Musical performers include, Christian Jacob Trio, Charles Owens Quintet, Katisse, and Dwight Trible.

Street Food Cinema | Dates and Locations Vary 
Playing in parks throughout Los Angeles every Saturday, enjoy an outdoor picnic that evolves into a live music performance and outdoor movie experience. The films featured in this month’s line-up includes, “The Breakfast Club,” “Toy Story,” ”Aladdin,” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Rooftop Cinema Club at The Montalban | Dates Vary 
Relax on giant lawn chairs as you watch some of your favorite characters, old and new, on the big screen atop various rooftops throughout the Los Angeles skyline. The films range from a variety of cult, classics, and new releases every night through June. Hurry up and book your tickets now. They’re selling fast.

Eat See Hear Presented by Showtime | Every Saturday Night • Beginning May 6
Please your senses with L.A.’s premier outdoor movie, food truck, and live music event series. The traveling event pops up at various locations all over Los Angeles and features screenings of new and old favorites. This month includes “Pulp Fiction,” the 75th Anniversary of “Casablanca,” “Mean Girls,” and “Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Lady Gaga “A Star Is Born” atGreek Theatre | May 2 – May 3
Gaga’s Little Monsters won’t want to miss the chance to be a part of her latest project, “A Star Is Born.” The film seeks extras for a large concert scene at The Greek Theatre. Directed by Bradley Cooper, the film is due next year.

“The Bodyguard” at Hollywood Patages Theatre | May 2 – May 21
The award-winning musical based on the smash-hit film of the same name finally comes to the the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. The musical follows a Secret Service agent turned bodyguard to protect a superstar from an unknown stalker.

LA Times Food Bowl at Various Venues Throughout Los Angeles | May 1 – May 31
Foodies rejoice. The month-long food festival will be curating and hosting events, special programs, and other dining experiences that open the conversation about issues of sustainability, food waste and hunger. Featuring the best form LA’s own chefs, the event converges food and a good cause.

Lucha VaVoom at Mayan Theatre | May 4 – May 5
Masked Mexican wrestling, burlesque dancing, and comedy. What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than at the Mayan Theatre? Also enjoy live musical performances and plenty of tequila.

Home Grown at Bootleg | May 4 – May 6
Home Grown is an initiative by Dance Resource Center that elevates the presentation of dance through a collaborative production model and brings audiences together to experience dynamic choreographic voices in LA.

Cinco de Mayo | May 5
The city comes alive for Cinco de Mayo. Lucha VaVoom offers Masked Mexican wrestling, burlesque dancing, and comedy and  plenty of tequila. If you are looking for the biggest margarita in Los Angeles, check out Big Bar. Want something a little more family friendly? The Cinco de Mayo West Side Parade features exciting, vibrant and lively festivities.

Todrick Hall Presents “Straight Outta Oz” at Fox Performing Arts Center (Pomona) | May 5
From “American Idol,” to a hugely popular YouTube channel, Todrick Hall presents his new show, “Straight Outta Oz.” Hall retells the classic story of “Wizard of Oz” with an engaging mix of dance and pop music.

MTV Movie and TV Awards at Shrine Auditorium | May 7
Hosted by “Workaholic’s” star, Adam Devine, the ceremony celebrates the best in movies and TV. “Get Out” and “Stranger Things” lead the nominations. “Fast and Furious” stars will collect the MTV Generation Award, while Pitbull, J. Balvin, and Camila perform.

Tape Face at The Roxy | May 10
Enjoy an evening of live magic with Tape Face from “America’s Got Talent.” The show is an experience that fans will have to see to believe. The infamous act includes humor and culture for all ages.

Billy Joel at Dodger Stadium | May 13
Billy Joel takes time off of his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden Arena to visit Dodger Stadium for a single-night event. The iconic singer has had 33 number one hits during the span of his incredible career. It’s a night any music enthusiast won’t want to miss.

Cinespia at Hollywood Forever Cemetery | Every Saturday Night • Beginning May 15
Enjoy a night under the stars on an open grassy field at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Bring a blanket, picnic dinner, and drinks, and enjoy cult classics, including “Clueless,” “North By Northwest,” “Wayne’s World,” “Wizard of Oz,” and others on the big screen once again!

Jersey Boys at Ahmanson Theatre | May 16 – June 24
The Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons comes to LA. Special to LA, the iconic show will feature Mark Ballas as one of the leading one. Aaron De Jesus, Migeul Jarquin-Moreland, and Matthew Daily round out the leading men.

Bjork Digital at Walt Disney Concert Hall | May 19 – June 4
The West Coast premiere of Bjork Digital, features a groundbreaking exhibition that combines virtual reality with the music from Bjork’s latest album, “Vulnicura.” Talk about bringing the music to life. Don’t forget – Bjork will also be performing live at the Walt Disney Concert Hall later this month.

Chris Stapleton at The Forum | May 20
Hot in the middle of his newest tour, Chris Stapleton makes a one night stop at The Forum in Inglewood. The tour features music from his latest album, including “Second One To Know,” “Broken Halos,” and “First Think I Need To Know.”

The 28th Annual Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters at Warner Bros. Studios | May 20
Experience a one-of-a-kind wine tasting event on the prolific “Midwest Street” on the Warner Bros. back lot. The tasting event will include beverage, hors d’oeuvres benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets begin at $375.

Off The 405 w/ Nite Jewel at Getty Center | May 20
Enjoy a night of music with local beer and cocktails. Off The 405 is Getty Center’s annual outdoor summer concert series. This month, Nite Jewel headlines the free concert.

Punchlines for Paws Featuring Sarah Silverman, Natasha Leggero, Ron Lynch and Maria Bamford at Candela La Brea | May 20
Join famed comics for a laugh and stay for the live auction, unique raffle packages and much more. Sarah Silverman is hot off the heels of her forthcoming Netflix comedy special, which debuts at the end of the month.

U2 w/ The Lumineers at The Rose Bowl | May 21

Brian Wilson Presents Pet Sounds: The Final Performances at Hollywood Pantages | May 26 + May 27
Wilson, joined by former band mates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, bring the Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour to Hollywood. Fans can expect top hits spanning from his solo career to his time with The Beach Boys.

La La Land: In Concert at Hollywood Bowl | May 26 + May 27
The almost Oscar Best Picture winner comes to the Hollywood Bowl for a special two-night live event. Fans of the movie will not want to miss the live love letter to the city of angels. Bring your dancing shoes.

Eat Drink Vegan at The Rose Bowl | May 27 + May 28
Come hungry, leave satisfied. The vegan food festival features hundreds of local restaurants, food trucks, and vendors. Also sample a multitude of beers, wines, sodas and refreshing beverages. Are you hungry yet?

John Legend at The Greek Theatre | May 28 + May 29
Hot off of his rendition of “Beauty and the Beast,” Oscar and Grammy Award-winner John Legend performs hits old and new. The “La La Land” star’s latest album, “Darkness and Light,” has already received much critical acclaim.

Bjork at Walt Disney Concert Hall | May 30
Right of the heels of her interactive exhibition, Bjork is performing live with orchestra to cap it all off. Unfortunately for fans, if you didn’t get your tickets yet the show is already sold-out. This performance marks the artist’s debut at the venue.

“The Book Of Mormon” at The Hollywood Pantages | May 30 – July 9
The hilarious musical from the creators of the Comedy Central hit, “South Park” begins its summer stay at the Hollywood Pantages. The Tony Award-winning musical follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of door-to-door missionaries. Get ready to laugh.
