Justin Timberlake Brings the Cool to Staples Center on August 12th

Justin Timberlake will be bringing The 20/20 Experience to a sold out Staples Center on August 12, 2014. But fret not JT fans, if you miss out on this show he will be returning to Southern California on November 24 at the Forum and November 26 at the Honda Center. The 20/20 Tour features an incredible floating stage, well-executed choreography, and an insane backing band. JT has two drummers (who needs two drummers?) and some people have called The 20/20 Experience the concert of the year.

The tour started on November 6, 2013 in New York and will end on December 20, 2014 in Atlanta and includes stops in Europe, the Middle East, and Australia among others. The album The 20/20 Experience was well received by critics and is responsible for the mega hits “Suit and Tie” and “Mirrors.” The 20/20 Experience Part 2, although not as well-received by critics, still sold well and featured the single “Take Back the Night.” Timbaland served as the main producer on both albums. Talented Timberlake has done a phenomenal job of shedding the boy-band image that made him so popular and now crafts songs that are similar to Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Curtis Mayfield, all while managing his overwhelming popularity.

He has been known to cover Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Kool & the Gang, and Bell Biv Devoe in one night. Timberlake has also shown that he can be a great actor (The Social Network, Inside Llewyn Davis), and he is respected enough to have been nominated for an NAACP award. His ability to change music genres while seamlessly blending them together makes him one of the most unique acts in the pop music world. He is also so nice that he let four strangers sing with him at the 2013 VMAs…oh wait, that was N’Sync.

Timberlake will be lighting up the Staples Center on August 12.
