Ben Stiller and Robin Williams Charm in the 3rd Installment of ‘Night at the Museum’
On Dec. 19 “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” will be in theaters. It is the third and final installment of the trilogy as well as the final film of both Mickey Rooney and Robin Williams.
Audiences will once again follow Larry (Ben Stiller) as he embarks on yet another inevitable journey in the infamous museum, this time doing his best to save its magic before it’s gone for good. The latest trailer depicts the adaptation the magical characters are going through. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Robert Ben Garant, David Guion, Michael Handelman, and Thomas Lennon.
Joining Stiller, Williams, and Rooney are Owen Wilson as Jedediah, Dan Stevens as Sir Lancelot, Rami Malek as Ahkmenrah and Ben Kingsley as Ahkmenrah’s father. Rebel Wilson is Tilly and Ricky Gervais is Dr. McPhee. Other cast members are Steve Coogan as Octavius, Rachael Harris as Madeline, Dick Van Dyke as Cecil, and who could forget Crystal the Monkey as Dexter. Reminiscent of the series, director Levy comments, “We have brought museums to life, but we have never really explored the idea of taking the magic into the world. This movie really goes beyond the museum walls.”
Expected to be the “wildest and most adventure-filled” “Night at the Museum,” all characters will embark on their own journeys and have more of a story to tell.
