Bob Seger Hits the Forum with His Silver Bullet Band
Stephanie Hernandez
Bob Seger has been a staple in rock and roll music since the early 1970’s. With a career spanning five decades, Seger is widely regarded as one of the most talented singer/song writer’s of all time. With classic tracks like Night Moves and Old Time Rock & Roll, It’s no wonder why karaoke bar DJs are getting Seger requests in at this very second. Luckily, for Angelenos, they will be able to experience this legend’s music in the flesh on Feb. 27 at The Forum.
Seger first formed the now infamous touring group, The Silver Bullet Band back in 1973. However, it was not until the release of their 1976 album, “Live Bullet” that this group of Detroit natives saw true national fame. 1976 also saw the release of Seger’s most well known work, the now jukebox favorite “Night Moves”. Seger’s music has widely been regarded as one of the finest examples of American heartland rock to date. Seger’s music has a way of getting under your skin. His now classic raspy voice, paired with his smooth melodies invoke a certain level of nostalgia amongst listeners, while the emotional power of his lyrics keep fans coming back for more.
Seger’s years of hard work was rewarded back in March 2004, when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and more recently the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2012. A veteran of the stage, Seger is truly a commanding presence to see. The intensity of his live shows make him a must see for old and new fans alike. Cancel any plans you may have and experience that old time rock and roll. Your ears will thank you.
Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will rock you at The Forum on Feb. 27. Tickets can be purchased here.
