If you’re looking for some traditional type of fun, or, simply, never got to take your sweetheart to the carnival, now is your chance. “Love, A Fair” is a Valentine’s Day themed carnival party featuring games, a kissing booth, drinks, dancing and, of course, cotton candy. The event starts at 8 p.m. and is ideal for couples or singles wanting to have some old-fashioned fun.

‘Casablanca’ at Cinefamily at the Silent Movie Theater
It’s true, the Cinefamily theater constantly holds special screenings, but there are few theater experiences more romantic than a special Valentine’s Day screening of the 1942 classic “Casablanca” presented in 35mm. Join Lola’s Outdoor Retro Cinema for their fifth Annual Valentine’s Day presentation with a screening of the adored “Harold and Maude.”  Guests are encouraged to bring low chairs, blankets, and picnic foods for a romantic outing. The film starts at 8 p.m., so bring coats, a snuggle-buddy, or whatever keeps you warm to enjoy this nighttime viewing of a cult classic.

Valentine’s Day Malibu Safari and Chocolate Tasting at Saddlerock Ranch
If your ideal plans don’t quite resemble hanging out in a cemetery, yet you still really want to impress and go all out, this is probably preferred.  The Malibu Wine Safaris are already quite luxurious, but for Valentine’s Day, they will add a bit of romance to the trip. Enjoy Saddlerock Ranch and its beauty, learn the history and feed the animals in the feeding area. The safari concludes with a chocolate and wine tasting, where guests can pick their favorites to take home.

If you’re trying to keep it simple, cheap and comedic,  you can walk up the block from Birds and spend the evening than at the UCB Theater. This Valentine’s Day features a $5 show at 10 p.m. with performers sharing their  most private and intimate stories with anyone who wants to hear.

Couples, or singles, that are more charitable can join Cupid’s Undie Run taking place at The Abbey in West Hollywood. It may not sound too appealing to participate in a run in your underwear, but the funds go to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, and you’ll be running with the one you love.
