Gwen Stefani Hits The Orpheum for First Solo Show in Six Years

Gwen Stefani‘s fans obsession went into hyperdrive as the singer announced her first show in over six years will be at The Orpheum in Los Angeles in Feb. 7 2015.

She’s been in music almost 30 years. That’s hard to believe since she doesn’t look a day over 25, but at this point in her career Stefani could stand in a room, be silent and still sell well. She’s a musical great and she had rightfully earned that title. Back in 1986, a little band from Orange County in California started up. No Doubt released two albums before making their presence fully known in 1995 with “Tragic Kingdom.” From that record, the world got timeless hits like “Don’t Speak,” “Just a Girl,” and “Spiderwebs.” The world also got their first major taste of a 26-year-old blonde with Monroe looks that could rock with the best of them.

The music she made on “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” and “The Sweet Escape” wasn’t like her band days, but at that point in her career she’d created a solid enough fan bases that diehards stuck with her, but also a flock of new fanatics came out of the woods to support. It was clear that being a solo artist was not a mistake. Then just four years later she decided to head back to No Doubt and fans were neither here nor there about the announcement, they were just happy to see her still making music.

Now she’s a judge on the NBC hit “The Voice” and planning another run at the solo life. During her time on the reality competition show she’s released two new songs, “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark the Fire.” She had a new record slated for release in 2015, but there is no official date for that drop just yet.

In the mean time her fans can get their Stefani fill when she plays a special, one night only show at The Orpheum in Los Angeles on Feb. 7. She told Today after the announcement, “It’s always is exciting, and it’s always surprising to me that anyone’s interested or that I get to do all this fun stuff. I feel so grateful. I’ve just started listening to all my old songs again and I’m learning them all. … I don’t remember any of the lyrics!”
