Actor and Author B.J. Novak to Have Book Signing at The Grove

You’ve seen B.J. Novak on “The Office.” You’ve seen him in the midst of heated twitter banter with Mindy Kaling. And now you can see him live, Feb. 17 at Barnes and Noble in The Grove signing copies of his acclaimed book of short stories, “One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories.”

Putting aside the fact that Novak’s book garnered critical acclaim and amassed allusions to the work of everyone from David Sedaris to Woody Allen, Novak also enjoyed one of the most successful guerrilla Instagram campaigns of all time. Numerous celebrities took pictures of and with copies of “One More Thing,” to promote the publication’s Feb. 2014 release. Either the book is brilliant or Novak has many friends.

Harvard grad Novak spent most of his childhood changing his mind about career paths of choice before he settled on becoming a writer. As an adult, Novak embraced this jack-of-all-showbiz-trades mentality, working as a stand-up comedian, actor, humorist, reality-show sidekick, writer, and producer. Novak is best known for his work on the American version of “The Office,” and he published his first two books in 2014. “One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories” appeared in February, with his Penguin Random House children’s book, “The Book With No Pictures” following quickly in August.

Barnes and Noble at The Grove is a can’t-miss for authors and A-listers on tour. The enormous and popular Los Angeles location has hosted everyone from Lena Dunham, to Neil Patrick Harris to Hillary Clinton. Heads up; this is a wrist-banded event. You have to show up and wait in line before 9 am to buy a copy of the book and receive a wristband for the evening’s book signing. (And no, Novak won’t sign your Kindle.)

B.J. Novak will be signing copies of his book, “One More Thing,” at Barnes and Noble in The Grove, Feb. 17. Wristbands are available the morning of the signing. More information, here.
