All Star Chef Classic Takes Cuisine to a New Level

Los Angeles doesn’t lack food festivals throughout the year, but the All Star Chef Classic , launched last year by Krissy Lefebvre (the wife of Chef Ludo Lefebvre) and food writer Lucy Lean, is an impressive festival. This one-of-a-kind event has a state-of-the-art Restaurant Stadium built just for the four-day festivities, complete with spotlights and LED screens giving every guest the perfect view of the action. Ever wanted to be an audience member at an Iron Chef show? This event is better since you get to enjoy the food. Guests will watch their dinner being prepared by world-famous chefs for wine-paired, multi-course meals.

True to the event’s name, Master Chefs from all over the country as well as from France and United Kingdom will convene in Los Angeles for the extravaganza. Some of the names you might recognize include Ludo Lefebvre from Trois Mec, Wylie Dufresne from wd~50 in New York, Jonathan Waxman from Barbuto in New York, Daniel Patterson from Coi in San Francisco, Inaki Aizpitarte from Le Chateaubriand in Paris, and many more.

The festival kicks off with the French Masters Dinner on Wednesday, March 11, followed by American Masters Dinner and British Masters Dinner on the subsequent evenings. The final event on Saturday, March 14 is “Grill & Chill”, where 20 All-Star Chefs will showcase their dishes in the Chef’s Tasting Arena while cooking demonstrations take place inside the Restaurant Stadium. Ticket prices and event times vary depending on the events and seating level at the stadium, from $274-$425 for the Masters Dinners and $125-225 for the other events.

It is a gala occasion worth celebrating. In addition to the scrumptious food, part of the ticket proceeds benefits the advancement of cancer research at City of Hope. The center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center focusing on transforming scientific discoveries into better treatments and prevention strategies for not only cancer, but also diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
