Clean Bandit are Going to Tidy Up The Fonda

From the halls of Cambridge to a Grammy. Clean Bandit has had quite the career so far, but it’s not over yet. They’re bringing their US tour to The Fonda on April 15 before they head back across the pond later this summer.

Obama hadn’t even been in office a full year when Jack Patterson, Grace Chatto, and Milan Neil Amin-Smith were all getting a higher education at Jesus College at Cambridge. Later on, they added Luke Patterson, and were whole. Together the four of them took their shared interest and love of music and created an electronic group. Three years after meeting and deciding to be a band – they released their debut single “A+E.” It didn’t shake up the charts too much but showed up at 100 on the UK Singles Chart. While the lead single came out in 2012, the record it was to be housed on didn’t drop until two years later.

Before “New Eyes” hit the shelves both digitally and in reality, they released two more singles, “Mozart’s House” and “Dust Clears.” After teasing fans, they dropped their debut in May 2014. With that, they are heading out on a two-week tour of the UK. Just months later they were performing at the BBC Philharmonic at MediaCityUK.

Last year was a great one for the band. They had their first record out and they collaborated with Jess Glynne, a British singer-songwriter on their biggest single to date, “Rather Be.” It shot to number one in the UK and managed to break the top ten in the states. The biggest thing that came from that track was it winning a Grammy in 2015 for Best Dance Recording. What started as a group of friends just trying to get through school, has made its way to a Grammy winning act. Not many can say that.

Now Clean Bandit is currently on the road with their pal Glynne. They’re going from coast to coast and hitting everywhere from the Metro in Chicago to Coachella before wrapping up and starting a mini-run in May.

Clean Bandits’ US tour lands at The Fonda on April 15. Tickets can be purchased here.
