27th Annual Taste of the Town Hits L.A.
Fiona Chandra
This year marks the 27th Annual Taste of the Town, an all-you-can-eat-and-drink adults-only charity event in Valencia, featuring more than 50 local eateries, wines and craft beers. Set in a garden-like setting at the Mann Biomedical Park, Taste of the Town promises to be a lovely day out while savoring good food, enjoying live music featuring Mark LeVang and Friends, and shopping the silent and live auctions. Food vendors will include Wolf Creek Restaurants & Brewing Co, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, Rita’s Italian Ice, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Whole Foods, and many more. There will be plenty to drink at the event with Angel City Brewery, J. Lohr Vineyard & Wines, Fetzer Vineyards, and a brand new brewery in Santa Clarita Valley, Pocock Brewing, to name a few. There are also plenty of items and experiences at the silent and live auctions to covet – think handmade dress and trip packages, along with raffles for a one-carat diamond or a two-week Hawaiian cruise.
New this year is a special VIP reception from 12-1 p.m. that provides all guests reserved seating at an umbrella table to watch culinary demonstrations while enjoying special hors d’oeuvres.
On top of special wines and beers available only at this reception from Mystic Hills Vineyard and Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Co, Fetzer Vineyard will also be providing two bottles of wine on your table. You know, in case you don’t want to get up to get more of the unlimited wines.
Proceeds from ticket and auction sales will benefit the Child & Family Center Foundation, founded in 1976. The funds will help provide needed mental health services to children, adolescents, and families within the community.
Taste of the Town will be at Mann Biomedical Park on May 3. Tickets can be purchased using this link.
