Winner Of ‘Last Comic Standing’ Rod Man Performing at the Legendary Ice House

Best known as the winner of “Last Comic Standing” season 8, comedian Rod Man will be taking the legendary comedy club the Ice House by storm on January 18.  Rod Man is a truly an original with his unique delivery and his innate ability to capture audiences all over the country.  His laid-back style makes you feel as though you are listening to a hilarious friend talking about everyday life.

Rod Man first decided he wanted to be a comedian after watching Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam,” which is also where stars and comedians like Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, and the late Bernie Mac have performed.  Rod Man decided to try out the gift of making people laugh by signing up for his first open mic at Atlanta’s Uptown Comedy Club.

After Rod Man took the stage for the first time, his career started blowing up fast.  He is now an award-winning entertainer that has performed at venues including Caesar’s Palace, The Gibson Amphitheater, and The Apollo Theater.  He even now has his own half hour special on Comedy Central, and has made television appearances on such shows as HBO’s “Boys Of Comedy,’”Martin Lawrence’s “First Amendment” for Starz, Nick Cannon’s “Wild ’N Out” for MTV, and “One Mic Stand” for BET.  You can also see Rod on the big screen in Judd Apatow’s “Funny People,” starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen.  In addition, Rod even co-hosted a morning drive-time show in Los Angeles by the Stevie Wonder-owned KJLH Radio 102.3.
