LA Pride Returns to WeHo With Carly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX and Three Days of Festivities

Like clockwork, when the calendar hits June the city prepares for another edition of LA Pride. It’s one of the grandest celebrations for the LGBTQ community (or any community for that matter) and for good reason. From the traditional parade that takes over Santa Monica Blvd. and the official festival area to the many bars that line the boulevard, this three day extravaganza of non-stop action is not to be missed. Chocked full of food, fun and a plethora of entertainment including an array of musical acts that top the charts and make the club scene pop, 2016 will be one for the books!

The fesitvities kicks off Friday night at 8 p.m. and last until 1 a.m. Those not going to the official festival can still get in on the action at the many bars and clubs opening their doors to the thousands of people that come out to celebrate every year. Saturday, things start earlier at 2 p.m. but still go well into the night with the weekend wrapping up on Sunday culminating in a parade featuring a cast of colorful characters from bikers to drag queens and everyone in between.

“Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen is one of the headliners this year and like a sugary treat, her music is just as sweet. The main stage will also see Charli XCX perform, who many know from singing the hook to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” as well as her own hit single, “Boom Clap.” Then there’s Bebe Rexha, Oscar nominee turned pop star Hailee Steinfeld, newcomer Gia and R&B and rap greats Faith Evans and Da Brat. It’s not just a girl’s club, though. Brayton BowmanConrad Sewell, Timeflies and Gallant are among the men hitting the stage that weekend as well. And it wouldn’t be L.A. Pride without the one and only Big Freedia and all her lavishness on the last night of the festival.

Those interested in celebrating this year’s LA Pride fest can pick up a wristband to access all three days for only $55. Want to roll in style with VIP? That’ll cost $125. This is bound to be an experience worth each and every coin filled with a vibrant atmosphere, music that won’t allow you to rest and the non-stop parties. Go see for yourself why LA Pride is one of the biggest and most extravagant Pride fests in the world.

LA Pride paints the town rainbow June 10 – 12. Tickets can be purchased here.
