The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival Brings the Laughs

The worlds largest comedy tour is back for its fourth consecutive year in Southern California. Live Nation and Funny Or Die have teamed up again to present the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival Tour, which brings together a long list of comedy icons. From Dane Cook to Ali Wong and Cameron Esposito, there is something to tickle everyones funny bone. Also featuring local up and comers, the 2016 bill looks to be one of the best to date.

As in years past, the Festival features a revolving set of comedians taking the stage in various cities, ensuring the acts change nightly. The tour kicked off in West Palm Beach, Florida last month and concludes in Phoenix, Arizona on Oct. 2nd, making the Irvine show the second to last stop of the tour and one you shouldnt miss.  The bill is stacked with the always hilarious Dane Cook, the ball busting Sebastian Maniscalo and the quick witted Jim Jeffries, alongside Nick Swardson, roast master Jeff Ross and the formidable Ali Wong. No need to check your local listings because we can pretty well guarantee this will be the hottest ticket in town. Not only will patrons get to hear from the masters, but this this year IFC will be taking over the Oddballs Second Stage, renamed the IFC’s Slightly Off Comedy Stage,in order to show off local talent in select cities. Providing a unique platform for new comedians to test out their chops and those attending will hopefully later be able to say they saw so and sobefore they were famous.

For fans of comedy this maybe the best festival ever to hit the circuit. If laughing till you spit your beer over your best friend sounds appealing, we suggest not missing this one.

The Oddball Comedy Festival will take over the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater Oct. 1. Tickets available here.
