CATCH Is West Hollywood’s Newest Hotspot

The west coast edition of New York’s popular restaurant CATCH has opened on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood. The 340-seat retractable rooftop offers stunning views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills, making CATCH the best new rooftop dining and drinking spot in the city. Whether you’re looking to lounge with friends or impress your date, the 12,000 square foot restaurant offers the seating you’re looking for. Intimate candlelit tables, communal tables, banquettes, and bar seating are all available, and guests can catch glimpses of the action in the open kitchen.

As the restaurant’s name would suggest, CATCH, which also has locations in Dubai and Playa del Carmen, focuses on seafood. Splurge on the truffle sashimi, which tops tuna and hamachi with Osetra caviar and black truffle or share a seafood tower with your friends, filled with king crab, lobster, oysters, and more. In addition to sushi, CATCH also offers a 50-day dry aged bone-in rib eye or a whole roasted New Zealand rack of lamb to share—or not. If you prefer to stick to seafood, you can’t go wrong with the Cantonese Lobster or the Alaskan King Crab served with honey lime vinaigrette and drawn butter. Looking for something closer to home? Try the lobster mac and cheese.

CATCH also has a separate vegan menu, making it to ensure what’s ordered is appropriate for the diet. The menu offers such dishes as vegetable handroll, hearts of palm crabcake, and mushroom spaghetti. Finish your meal with a cinnamon roll donut served with coffee ice cream, or a S’mores pizza.

The cocktail menu boasts some intriguing ingredients. The Casting Couch combines tequila, hibiscus, with house-made root beer and pineapple and angostura bitters. The Banana Hammock is made with cachaca, cognac, banana liqueur, and toasted pumpkin seed orgeat. CATCH West Hollywood is currently open for dinner from 5pm-2am daily, with food served until 12am..
