Migos Hosts House Party at The Novo Featuring Ty Dolla Sign, YG, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty

After a recent shout out by Donald Glover at the Golden Globe Awards, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff – the trio known as Migos – went from being a relatively known hip hop group to one of the most talked about music acts in the industry. Many who were unfamiliar with the crew, known in the hip-hop world for rapid-fire flows and trendsetting cadence, probably got a first taste of the group through the latest hit single, “Bad and Boujee,” which skyrocketed to the No. 1 song in the country within the past two weeks. Quavo has been the bright star of the group, featured on songs with artists such as Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, and Kanye West. With the release of their latest album, “Culture,” just a week away, Migos took to the Novo in Downtown LA.

With their DJ Durel bringing the energy in the venue up to the ceiling, the crowd couldn’t hold back from chanting “Migos, Migos, Migos!” With the house lights off and the only the glow from phones lighting up the stage, Migos made their entrance. Off the bat, the group performed some fan favorites, including “Fight Night” and “Look At My Dab.” The stage was filled with Migos’ full roster of members, that didn’t stop the group from squeezing in a few guest performances from some of their famous friends.

With Quavo promising some surprises throughout the set, the excitement was building. The first surprise came when Ty Dolla Sign came out onto the stage to perform his hit song, “Blasé.” Next, local legend YG came out to the stage to perform “Why You Always Hatin?” while dancing around with Migos crew. While those two performances would have been enough, Migos brought out 2 Chainz for his song “Big Amount.” Last but not least, Quavo hosted a personal friend, Lil Yachty, who performed “Minnesota.” With so many friends in attendance, it felt more like a house party than a concert.

To end the night, the group performed “Bad and Boujee” with all of the guests on stage joining them, and even some players from the Los Angeles Lakers joining the fun. And it was so much fun that Migos performed the hit single a second time just to ensure that fans left happy.

Migos brought the dab to The Novo on Jan. 18.
