Fan-Curated Firefly Music Festival to Feature Headliners Bob Dylan, Muse, and The Weeknd

The Firefly Music Festival at The Woodlands of Dover, Del. has revolutionized the way fans interact with the festival by allowing them to create and vote on a fantastic lineup.

R&B star The Weeknd‘s continued success with his latest album, “Starboy,” catapulted him to the top, making him an obvious fan choice to appear as the festival’s first headliner. Muse, an English rock band who have been working consistently since the mid-1990s and won a Best Rock Album Grammy in 2015 for “Drones,” grabbed a leading vote as well.

Twenty One Pilots, an alternative hip-hop pop duo out of Ohio, is set to perform their hit songs “Stressed Out,” “Ride” and “Heathens,” which was originally recorded for the film “Suicide Squad.” Another well-known performer, Chance the Rapper, has made a name for himself independently by using his unique, happy-stoner sound. His album, “Coloring Book,” was released last year and featured his friends 2 Chainz, Kanye West and Justin Bieber. The next performer on the list is none other than the Voice of a Generation, Bob Dylan. He doesn’t play often, but when he does, it’s not to be overlooked.

Additional acts on the bill include the budding Aussie producer Flume, SoCal rockers Weezer, indie icons The Shins, Jared Leto’s band Thirty Seconds to Mars and EDM class clown, Dillon Francis. The festival program is also set to feature Miike Snow, Busta Rhymes, Glass Animals, Phantogram, T-Pain, Kesha, Banks, Franz Ferdinand, AFI, The Naked and Famous, Snakehips and more.

Firefly is unique and intimate in the sense that there are several camping facilities close to the gates, making it super convenient for festival attendees. Specially designed areas like The Thicket, offer a woodsy beat-drenched party experience. The Pathway is an audio-visual, sensory-overload display that will “put your neighborhood Christmas-lighting enthusiast to shame.” The Hammock Hangout will provide a great place to relax in the shade after a long day of dancing. Of course, you have the Beercade, featuring pinball, skee-ball, foosball and a plethora of vintage arcade games to pair with your favorite craft brew. Firefly is a paradise of fun and one to look out for as the summer festival season approaches.

Firefly Music Festival will take place in Dover, Del. from June 15-18. Passes can be purchased on the Official Firefly Festival Website.
