An Evening on the Beach Combines Live Music and Gourmet Food for a Good Cause

An Evening on the Beach has delighted Angelenos for eight straight years with a mix of fine dining, beachy surroundings, charity fundraising and live music. For its upcoming installment on Thursday, Sept. 14, the event has put together a truly special program for its patrons.

The festivities will take place from 6-10 p.m. at the beachside Jonathan Club in Santa Monica at 850 Pacific Coast Highway. This Platinum Club is already renowned for its blend of sophisticated elegance and light-hearted fun, making it the perfect venue for this laidback beach dining extravaganza. As you might have guessed, the dress code is casual, but they do recommend a sweater for after sunset.

The tastings will feature a host of L.A.’s finest eateries: Angelini Osteria, Bestia, Compartes Chocolatier, Craft, Cut Beverly Hills, Di Stefano Cheese, Everson Royce Bar, Felix, Hitching Post, Michael’s Santa Monica, Mikkeller DTLA, Osteria Mozza, Petrossian, Prawn, Rice Bar, Salt’s Cure, Sotto, Wexler’s Deli, and Bombet Hospitality Group.

The program also features Patrick Fahy and Jose Fernandez, who have been tantalizing tastebuds at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, as well as Jonathan Club’s own Jason McClain and Adina Rivera-Schaefer. The event has handpicked some of California’s finest vintners and signature spirits to pair with the delicious food.

While they grill up fine food and pour the cocktails, patrons can also enjoy an evening of sublime music from the “Band on the Sand,” High Rize. Known for their smooth four-part harmonies and backed by a band that melds jazz, soul and pop, High Rize is sure to get listeners moving and grooving to the biggest hits from yesterday and today.

Individual tickets cost $185, with all proceeds going directly to benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Ample free parking is available, though there is no parking at Jonathan Club – but fortunately, volunteer ushers will be on hand to direct you to the free parking nearby.

Not many events can offer a beach-front sunset, scintillating live tunes and gourmet flavors to pair with a worthy charitable cause. Then again, An Evening at the Beach isn’t like most other events.
