Fleetwood Mac to Perform Three Nights at The Forum

Fleetwood Mac, the renowned British-American rock band will be returning to the City of Angels to perform at The Forum on Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 6.

The original lineup was formed in London in 1967 after founding member Peter Green left blues band,John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. The band consisted of Mayall, Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie. It was after they created an instrumental that was named after the rhythm section, “Fleetwood Mac,” Green and Fleetwood team up to form their own separate band. Because McVie opted to stay with Mayall over latching on to the new creation, they were able to recruit guitarist Jeremy Spencer and bassist Bob Brunning instead.

Fleetwood Mac made its initial debut on Aug. 13, 1967 at the Windsor Jazz and Blues Festival, and within weeks of the show McVie had decided that he would come on as the permanent bassist, leaving Brunning.

Despite experiencing different band members, the current form is the one that is most familiar to fans: Lindsey Buckingham on guitar, Stevie Nicks on vocals, Christine McVie on keyboard, John McVie on bass guitar and last but certainly not least, Mick Fleetwood on drums. The group has released 17 studio albums over the span of 35 years and 18 tours with their latest, the “On with the Show” tour that runs from 2014 to 2015.

The current tour is 67 shows, with the set-list featuring hits “Gypsy,” “Go Your Own Way,” “The Chain,” “I Know I’m Not Wrong,” “Say You Love Me,” “Songbird” and many more. This timeless reunion takes place Thanksgiving weekend and is sure to be a night to remember.
