Get ready to Jingle those bells at KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas!
December 13th marks the start of the 25th annual much anticipated concert series. Past lineups read like a list of the who’s who in music, featuring everyone from David Bowie to Sonic Youth, and this year is no different.
Get ready to rock out to today’s top acts along with some more seasoned veterans over two nights at the legendary Los Angeles Forum. The 2014 lineup includes artists like Imagine Dragons, Alt-J, Linkin Park, Tears for Fears, Weezer, Incubus and our favorite pop-punkers, Fall Out Boy. The artists this year come from all sides of the musical spectrum and are guaranteed to please, as if you needed another reason to love KROQ.
Almost Acoustic Christmas is also coming in clutch for those who have missed out on some of this years earlier performances. Alt-J, Weezer and Tears for Fears fans will rejoice in getting a chance to see these acts on stage again, while those listening to the live web broadcast will have to live in nostalgia.
The show besides providing patrons with an amazing weekend of music is also rooted in giving back to the community. Proceeds of the two night extravaganza will benefit local charities. The first of which is Para Los Niños, a non profit organization dedicated to fostering academic success in at-risk children as well as the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center that features dozens of after school engagement programs. Acoustic Christmas helps provide year round funding for these charities, making the ticket well worth the purchase price.
Fans can expect KROQ to make this year’s festivities special to honor its 25th anniversary. There are whispers of surprise performances, so all attendees can celebrate this milestone.
Tickets to KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas are sold out, but you can still win tickets through KROQ’s website.
