Borgore Takes on Shrine Expo Hall Feb. 14

Borgore‘s style is unlike those in his scene. On the surface, he’s just another EDM artist but one listen and those metal influences take over. It’s definitely an interesting time at his shows and LA is being treated to one at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on Feb. 14.

Being 26-years-old is a scary time. It’s one step closer to 30 and it’s a time in one’s life when friends are being married and having babies, worried about buying homes and 401ks. That’s not the case for Borgore. He’s the Israeli-born artist who has his mind set on the music, where it has been since 2009. That’s when he released his first record, “Gorestep: Vol. 1.” Since then he hasn’t really a lot of down time. Those who think Ryan Seacrest is the busiest man on earth, think again. With over 20 releases under his belt and a song with Miley Cyrus, it’s obvious for Borgore; relaxation isn’t something that comes up a lot.

The metal influence in Borgore’s style doesn’t come from nowhere. Before he decided to step behind the turntable, he was behind a drum set. He was part of a deathcore band in Israel called Shabira back in the day. From there he went on to be one half of a dubstep duo, Alphamale Primates. Today he’s blended his old school love of metal with the new found respect for electronic and has what’s been described and compared to music one would hear in horror movies. Some have even said it sounds like everything from farm animals to sex. That’s quite the assortment of sounds fans can expect when heading out to see Borgore live.

In support of his latest record, “The Buygore Album,” Borgore is hitting the road. He kicked off things at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado and after a handful of dates will hit Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles just in time for Valentine’s Day. Couples, singles and just anyone that’s a fan can expect a grand show that night with, if nothing else, a night with a variety of sounds from the farm to the bedroom. Also on the bill, that night is the dance music of Brazzabelle.

Borgore plays the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on Feb. 14. Tickets can be purchased here.
