Angel City Brewery: Food trucks, Beer and Events
Julianne Ishler
The Angel City Brewery brings a plethora of events to downtown Los Angeles. Located in the Arts District in downtown, Angel City Brewery was founded in 1997 and quickly made its way to be a leader in the L.A. craft beer scene. By 2013, the brewery expanded into the Brewery and Public House, offering beer on tap, brewery tours, tastings and more. In addition, the parking lot is a haven to the most diverse food trucks in the area. Every night the Brewery is open and a food truck is parked right outside, making each time you visit a different experience.
Every Sunday, start your week right with the Run + Yoga + Beer event at 9:30 a.m. Beginning the morning with a two-mile run around downtown and then transitioning into Vinyasa yoga, you get to finish the workout with a pint of beer for only $10. Also on Sundays is the Beer Bazaar, where local arts and crafts vendors come together to showcase their handmade products. Some of the regular vendors include Raven Gypsies, Sour Girls, Ether Jewelry and many more. The Bazaar also includes a variety of food trucks, and of course, beer. Through September, Sunday nights is the Brewery’s Paint Nite where attendees are given their own canvas and supplies and can purchase beer and food.
Every Tuesday you can experience Taco & Trivia Tuesdays. You can swing on by for Taco Tuesdays. Enjoy grilled tacos outside by Taqueria el Severo while playing trivia with your friends. Meanwhile on Thursdays, LARABA hosts the cask beer and farmers market in the Angel City Triangle Lot, with mostly locally-grown produce and handmade items.
Check out the food truck calendar of events. Each day a different food truck is featured and parked outside the Angel City Brewery.
