LA Beer Week Celebration Kicks Off June 20

The team behind LA Beer Week knows that one beer festival is not enough, so they have organized a whole week around beer-related festivities. The seventh annual LA Beer Week will kick off on June 20 with a big festival at Exposition Park, featuring more than 200 beers from more than 75 breweries. There will also be food trucks with food for purchase, and two stages for live music. The VIP ticket holders will not only receive early admission, but access to a VIP area that will have special beers on tap. The festivities for the week will actually start earlier with three pre-parties starting on June 2, because it’s never too early to drink beer.

After the kick-off event, check their schedule for a complete list of amazing events from tap takeovers to special dinners. There’s a luau and pig roast with Maui Brewing Co. held at Rock & Brews, a Hangover Brunch at Far Bar. The Beer Week also falls perfectly in time with Father’s Day, so you can take your pick as to which Father’s Day beer-filled brunch to take your dad or yourself for this special day to Elysian, Simmzy’s Long Beach, Phantom Carriage, or Eagle Rock Public House.

To follow, check out the karaoke competition at Alex’s Bar with El Segundo Brewing, live music at Ladyface Ale Companie, a pairing dinner featuring vintage beers from Firestone Walker, Beer Trivia Brunch at Tony’s Darts Away. The week will culminate with a Brewers Brunch’ at Eagle Rock Brewery, where you can mingle with L.A.’s favorite brewers over good food and plenty of beer. Of course, throughout the week there will be many tap takeovers at various bars in the city. Other events will also feature special collaboration or cask releases that you may not be able to find elsewhere, so if you’re a beer lover who always wants to try the latest and greatest, be sure to check out their full schedule and reserve your spot early.
