Free Summer Fun with Moonlight Movies on the Beach

There is nothing like seeing a movie on the big screen. The moviegoer experience makes it all worthwhile. Now what makes that even better is when one can see the movie outside, on the beach and with that brisk California weather. That’s what Alfredo’s Beach Club is offering with their Moonlight Movies on the Beach. The best part is they’re giving a variety of films that are fun for everyone and it’s all free!

Kicking off June 22 with the ‘80’s classic “Karate Kid,” Moonlight Movies on the Beach is doing its best to give fans a buffet of movies to choose from all summer long. Granada Beach is opening up its sand for this series with a mix of cult classics like “Jaws,” animated favorites such as “Big Hero 6” and a “Frozen” sing-a-long as well as recent hits like Chris Pratt’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” So while these offer a lot for families out there looking for an inexpensive way to get out, this is also a perfect date night idea. It’s never a gamble to see a well-loved movie like “The Sandlot” with the romantic atmosphere of the beach as the backdrop? Grab a date and enjoy the night!

Again, all one has to do to enjoy the movie is show up. There’s no charge to watch, but those looking for the typical snacks like popcorn are going to have to bring some cash. Also, note that this is unlike many places in the L.A. area because there is free parking available as well. Score on free movies and parking, that’s a win.

There are a number of outdoor movie events going on around L.A. all summer from Moonlight Movies on the Beach to what’s going down at Hollywood Forever with Cinespia. To keep tabs on them, check out Entertainment Voice.

Moonlight Movies on the Beach kicks off June 22 and goes all the way through the end of August.
