L7 Rocks The Fonda

The Fonda sits away from the historical Sunset Strip mere blocks away from the infamous intersection Hollywood and Vine. The venue offers up some of the best shows L.A. has to offer and recently had hometown rockers L7  in the house.

In the mid-80s some women banded together in the midst of L.A. and formed L7. Like all bands they had their ultimate highs matched with some lows, but all the while rocked it until they disbanded in 2001. Thirteen years later they regrouped and made fans happier than ever.

Back in their hometown, they hit the stage of The Fonda and started out the night with “Deathwish.” Overpowered with delight, the crowd sang their hearts out as the set rolled on with “Freak Magnet” and “One More Thing” in the center, and an Eddie & The Subtitles cover kicking off the encore. Last up, they ended the night and their rock n’ roll stage show with “Fast and Frightening.”

L7 did L.A. proud that night and their city can’t wait to see them again.

L7  performed at the Fonda Theatre July 16 and 17.
