Janet Jackson Returns to L.A. With ‘Unbreakable’ Tour
There were whispers here and there for months before Janet Jackson officially announced her return to music. Some thought she’d take a page out of Celine, Britney and Mariah’s book and do a Vegas residency. Instead of being settled in once place the “Nasty” girl is releasing a new album and heading out on tour for the nine months. She’ll hit Southern California a few times between now and next June, but her first date back in L.A. will be down at The Forum.
If there’s one artist who needs no introduction it’s Janet Jackson. She is the youngest of the talented Jackson family, a celebrated artist and has had an acting career. The world fell in love with her on “Good Times” when she was just a kid, and then everyone watched her grow into a singer.
She has sold over 160 million records worldwide and has numerous hits. Hits are what fans can surely expect when they head out to see her Unbreakable tour. She’s bringing back “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Rhythm Nation” and even throwing “Scream” into the mix. Don’t be surprised if she gets emotional during with the duet she did with her late brother, Michael. Janet is also bringing some new songs to the table, like the title track off “Unbreakable,” out October 2, as well as her track with Missy Elliot, “BURNITUP!”
“Unbreakable” is Janet’s first album in seven years and fans cannot wait to see their queen return to the stage. This 49-year-old is putting a lot of the newer acts to shame by touring not one or two months, but nine. She’ll wrap things up in June 2016.
Janet Jackson plays The Forum Oct. 16. Tickets can be purchased here.
