KROQ Presents Bill Burr New Year’s Eve Shows at the Orpheum

Bill Burr will be performing two shows back to back on New Year’s Eve at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The shows are presented by KROQ, with one show at 7:15 p.m. and the other at 10:30 p.m. Bill Burr is known for his angry but hilarious stand up routine, refusing to sugar coat anything. He’s had four standup specials, “Why Do I Do This?,” “Let It Go,” “You People Are All the Same.” and “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way.”

This show comes off the heels of the premiere of his new Netflix show, “F is for Family.” This animated sitcom revolves around a lower middle-class family living in the 1970s and is based on Burr’s childhood. The show is set to premiere on Dec. 18 for a total of six episodes.

The show is a collaboration between Burr and Michael Price, who helped to write the show.  Price is best known for his work on “The Simpsons,” the longest-running animated series on network television.  Price’s work on “The Simpsons” won him both an Emmy and a Writer’s Guild award.

Bill Burr has also been doing his podcast, “The Monday Morning Podcast,” since 2007, which is done in the same raw, off-the-cuff style as his standup.  On the show he talks about his life, going on tour, his view on sports and politics, as well as occasionally interviewing guests.

Burr has also appeared in several films and television shows including “Date Night,” “Breaking Bad” and the “Kroll Show,” but comedy is his genre of choice.  He has even made guest appearances on fellow comedians’ podcasts and talk shows including “The Nerdist Podcast,” “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and “The Adam Carolla Show.”

Bill Burr will be at the Orpheum Theatre on Dec. 31.  Tickets can be purchased here.
