St. Lucia Threw 80’s Dance Party at Fonda Theatre

The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood was treated to an all-out dance party in March, orchestrated by St. Lucia and their outstanding opener, singer Grace Mitchell.

As the house lights dimmed, a cool, collected Mitchell walked out on stage. She immediately kicked the night off with a rocking jam that showcased both her lively dance moves and engaging stage presence. Within minutes, the entire crowd was one with the singer, jumping and head banging to every song. Grace ran through an exciting performance and closed with her hit song “NoLo,” leaving the crowd anxious for the next beat to drop.

As St. Lucia took the stage, the roar from the crowd was deafening but lead singer Jean-Philip waited in the wings until fans grew restless. Once he appeared, the band played a non-stop high-energy show that left the audience frantic for more. St. Lucia closed with their hit song “Elevate” and fans chanted for an encore until the band finally obliged. This band goes above and beyond as performers and if you have yet to see either St. Lucia or Grace Mitchell, you are missing out on one of the greatest dance rock shows anywhere.

St. Lucia and Grace Mitchell performed at The Fonda Theatre on March 10.
