Neal Brennan and Friends Perform at M.I. Westside Comedy Theater

End your weekend right by checking out comedians Neal Brennan and Kevin Christy and The M.I. Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica.  The weekly show titled “Neal Brennan and Friends” takes place at The M.I. Westside Comedy Theater every Sunday, and features Brennan and a multitude of different famous friends working out new material.  Past special guests include Dave Chapelle, Russell Peters, Natasha Leggero, Mario Joyner, and more.

The talented and hilarious Neal Brennan was the co-creator of “Chapelle’s Show” and director of “The Goods:  Live Hard Sell Hard.”  Before Brennan got his big break by creating “Chapelle’s Show,” he was a writer for the MTV dating show “Singled Out” in 1995.  This was followed by writing jobs for the game show “Bzzz!” in 1996, the Nickelodeon sketch show “All That” from 1996-1997, and the teen sitcom “Kenan & Kel in 1997. Most recently, Brennan’s “Women & Black Dudes” was named one of the 10 best comedy specials of 2014.

The show features comedian Kevin Christy, who is a fellow writer and standup comic.  Christy is known for ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’, ‘Race To Witch Mountain,’ and ‘New Port South.’  He has also appeared on television shows including “Made Men,” “Bones,” “Saving Grace,” “Detroit 1-8-7,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Happy Endings,” and most recently, “Stalker.” The rotating lineup also includes  Suli Mccullough, Adam Ray and Elon Gold.

Doors open at 8:45 p.m., with the show starting at 9.  Please keep in mind that this show is only for patrons 21 & over, and if you are not there to physically claim your tickets they will become void 15 minutes after the show’s start time.  This is a show you will not want to miss, and you never know who will pop in and take the stage!
