Join William Shatner and Neal McCoy for the Annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show

When most people think of SoCal, horses are not on the top of the list. Hollywood Charity Horse Show and William Shatner are looking to change that with their annual arena horse show, auction and performances. Today, it’s almost three decades old and bigger than ever, raising money for small, grass root charities.

Shatner was inspired back in the ‘80s watching differently-abled children working past their struggles, performing exercises on horseback. A few months into the ‘90s, he decided that he wanted to be a part of the experience. At first, the Hollywood Charity Horse Show was helping out the organization that inspired him, Ahead With Horses. Shortly after, Shatner added more charities to the growing equestrian show’s list of organizations well-deserving of the proceeds raised. This year, the over two dozen charities who will benefit include A Place Called Home, Friendly House, Saddles for Soldiers and Hollenbeck Police Activities League, to name a few.

Shatner has acquired some pretty talented and respected people in the industry to come out and use their star power to help those in need. In addition to a dinner and auction, The Hollywood Charity Horse Show has a variety of great acts performing for a good cause. Past performances have included country stars Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd along with Ben Folds and Sheryl Crow, with music icon Willie Nelson and special guest Neal McCoy.  This year’s musical performance will be given by county star Neal McCoy.

On top the performance, celebrity guests and the horses, there is even more. Attendees can also check out the spread they’ll have on deck to eat before and during the shows. Great food, top notch performers and horses all for the greater good are to be expected from this worthwhile charity.

The Hollywood Charity Horse Show is June 4 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank. Tickets can be purchased here.
