Get in Formation With Beyoncé at the Pasadena Rose Bowl and Dodger Stadium

Just one day after surprise releasing a new track and music video, Beyoncé followed her controversial Super Bowl 50 halftime show performance with a push of Red Lobster’s sales and, oh yeah, let’s not forget official news of her upcoming Formation World Tour set to hit Los Angeles’ own Rose Bowl Stadium on May 14.
The tour is the singer’s first solo jaunt since her critically acclaimed Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in 2013. Kicking off this summer, the first city being hit by the storm will be Miami, Florida, at Marlins Park on April 27 with additional 21-stadium dates in the United States alone, including stops in New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia and Dallas, with the European leg of the tour starting shortly thereafter in June. The announcement comes as a breath of fresh air to fans who have been frantically waiting for the icon to take the stage since the moment “Formation” hit the Internet. The single itself is Beyoncé’s most politically charged yet and if her halftime performance is any indicator, it is going to be an awe-inspiring spectacle to witness live.
Her unapologetic support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement at Levis Stadium sent an unmistakable message worldwide. Beyoncé is proud of her heritage and is more than ready to celebrate her black identity on a global stage. Everything from her dancer’s Black Panther-esque aesthetic celebrating the movement’s 50th anniversary to her Michael Jackson-inspired jacket shouted loud and clear that she is no longer willing to remain quiet as she sees atrocities occurring in the United States at an astronomical rate. All the emotion and poignancy behind not just the music but the visual messages are what are going to set this tour apart from everything Mrs. Carter has done thus far and that in and of itself is exciting enough.
Though it has been only two years since Beyoncé last toured the United States alongside her husband Jay Z on their six-week On the Run Tour in the summer of 2014, the desire to see her stand alone as a one-woman show has reached a fever pitch. Coming at the height of political and social unrest, Beyoncé is taking full advantage of the spotlight placed on these issues to bring awareness and power to voices that have long been silenced. It is safe to say the world will be counting down the days to her tour’s start.
Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour is coming to the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena on May 14. Tickets go on sale Feb. 12 at LiveNation.com. A Dodger Stadium date has been announced for Sept. 14. Tickets are on sale here beginning May 13 at 10 a.m. PDT.
