L.A. Mart Opens Its Doors to the Public for Design Center Wednesday
Open five days a week, the L.A. Mart is widely known in the design world. For 57 years this has been the go-to place for those in the business looking to get their hands on everything from lighting fixtures to fabrics as this wholesale space has all that and more. Although popular, it’s closed to the public most days except for their Design Center Wednesday. It’s then that people from all over can come in and get their hands on all the mart has to offer just like the professionals.
Every Wednesday, shoppers can head down and spend like the design pros. On top of the lighting and fabrics, those checking out L.A. Mart can get a feel for the furniture, furnishings, art and so much more. Floor samples are less expensive than the packed away pieces and the event is free to the public. All those savings leave more wiggle room to spend and get more great finds. Although the public is welcome every Wednesday, Market Dates are the exception. To ensure you don’t show up on an off day, check out the schedule here.
With multiple floors to explore, guests can take in MacQueen Home and Century Designer Showroom when they walk into the ground floor. The third and fourth levels house the designs of J. Johnson & Company, Smyrna Collection and En Vogue – Art on Tiles. If those aren’t enough to satisfy your interior design dreams this Mart continues to take over floors eight through twelve. With each floor and designer as unique as the last, plan to spend a Wednesday here on an all-day excursion. It would be a good idea to check out the floor plan beforehand to plan ahead of time; Or for those who like to go with the flow, just walk in and explore. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close in the early evening at 5 p.m.
The L.A. Mart’s Design Center Wednesday is every week except for Market Days.
