Blake Shelton Brings His ‘Ten Times Crazier’ Tour to the Hollywood Bowl

You can’t seem to walk out the door without the echo of Blake Shelton’s name these days. The always witty, way too charming, and talent-soaked Shelton is delivering his southern twang to our southern California grounds.

Shelton will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on October 4 as part of his Ten Times Crazier Tour.  He will be accompanied by The Band Perry, veteran Neil McCoy, and newcomers Dan & Shay. With the hits blaring from the speakers, fans should expect to sing-along with fellow concert-goers to both old and new jams, broken up by Shelton’s engaging and appealing banter between jingles.

While it seems there hasn’t been a time in recent years where his name hasn’t infused excitement among country music fans, Shelton hasn’t always been the force in the industry he is today. At the age of 17, Shelton left the small town of Ada, Okla. for Nashville. There he encountered the challenges of having big dreams, spending nearly eight years performing at the honky tonks lining Broadway before finally signing a record deal. In 2001, Shelton hopped on board with Giant Records and released his first hit track, “Austin,” which spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. To date, Shelton has provided country music fanatics with nine albums, including the acclaimed “Red River Blue,” which tallied four No. 1 singles. His most recent album, “Bringing Back the Sunshine,” is set for release on Sept. 30. Throughout his nine albums, Shelton has provided country music radio with a staggering 12 No. 1 hits, and perhaps even more impressive, eleven of the twelve were consecutive successes. Beginning with “Hillbilly Bone,” the streak continued with “All About Tonight,” “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking,” “Honey Bee,” “God Gave Me You,” “Drink on It,” “Over,” “Sure Would be Cool if You Did,” “Boys ‘Round Here,” “Mine Would be You,” and “Doin’ What She Likes.”

In addition to owning the charts, Shelton is taking home other impressive honors. He was named “CMA Entertainer of the Year” in 2012, is a three-time “Male Vocalist of the Year,” and won “Song of the Year” honors for co-writing the platinum-selling chart-topper, “Over You” with wife and fellow star, Miranda Lambert. He also has six gold and platinum albums, several Grammy nominations, and three times hosted the ACM Awards.

The list of Shelton’s accolades would suggest that his time is at a premium, but this hard-charging artist has made time for yet another gig: a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.” Since Season One, Shelton has earned a reputation as the most successful coach on the show, all while winning over America with his sparkling, yet sarcastically witty, personality.
