See Bruce Springsteen Unfiltered at the GRAMMY Museum

See the Boss unfiltered this week at L.A. Live’s GRAMMY Museum. “Bruce Springsteen: A Photographic Journey” will feature 45 photographs of the rock legend. The exhibit is open to the public on May 26 and runs through June 19. Seen through the lens of five photographers, the collection will display the work and video interviews of Danny Clinch, Ed Gallucci, Eric Meola, Pamela Springsteen and Frank Stefanko.

When people think of Bruce Springsteen what may come to mind are images from his electric performances – playing “The Rising” at the GRAMMY Awards, sliding into a camera at the Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show, or “Dancing in the Dark” with Courtney Cox. This exhibit, however, is a more intimate look at the “Glory Days” singer, away from the bright lights of the stage. The exception is a sidebar from photographer Barry Schneier. His photos cover the famous ‘74 Harvard Square Theatre concert when Springsteen was dubbed the “future” of rock.

GRAMMY Museum executive director, Bob Santelli, says: “Our goal with this exhibition is to define the career of Bruce Springsteen in an entirely new light, as captured by these five incredible photographers. Each of these photographers was able to artfully document Bruce’s world, at different stages in his career. We are honored to partner with each of them in order to help tell the story of one of the most important figures in American music.”

Springsteen is one of rock’s greatest icons. His songs about the strength and struggles of the American spirit have resonated with millions of fans and have earned him 20 GRAMMY awards. Since his debut album “Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.” (1973), Springsteen has continued with a 40-year legacy that includes his ‘80s blockbuster “Born in the U.S.A.” up to his 18th studio album “High Hopes” in ‘14. He’s still wowing fans on tour with his high-energy performances, often selling out shows with his crew the E Street Band. This September, the Boss will release his autobiography “Born to Run.”
