Jessie Ware will be gracing Los Angeles with her presence at Tower Theatre on Oct. 23. Having taken a hiatus of more than two years since the release of her first album, Ware is ready and raring to go.
“I’m very aware that I haven’t had an album out for a couple of years. I wanted to get this record done and get it out. This whole time I’ve been waiting for people to hear these songs. I can’t wait,” Ware says. The feeling is mutual amid her eager fans.
Since the 2012 release of her debut album “Devotion,” the London-based Ware has gained a fanatic following and nabbed a Mercury Prize nomination in the process. Jessie Ware is known to have gained popularity among her peers as well, attracting such die hard fans as Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
The British native is set to release her second album “Tough Love” on Oct. 24. in The States, with expectations booming after the release of its first single of the same name. The single “Tough Love” was shaped while Ware’s hectic life came to a necessary halt following an endless string of shows and depleted energy, prompting her to pick up pen and paper at home. What came next was a single that propelled itself to mainstream radio, debuting on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record.
The critically acclaimed Ware’s musical style and emotional lyrics are mesmerizing. Her catchy beats complement the overall energetic tone of her records, establishing Ware as one of the most recognizable artists in the music industry.
Jessie Ware will be performing at the Tower Theatre on October 23. Tickets are currently unavailable through Ticketmaster but can be found at StubHub.
