Rapper Yung Lean Brings His Boys to Regent Theatre Dec. 12

On December 12, Sweden-based rapper Yung Lean brings his crew of Sad Boys and Gravity Boys to the Regent Theater. Born in 1996 as Jonatan Leandoer Hastad in Stockholm, this Swedish rapper and record producer has firmly planted himself on the music scene since 2011, recently taking on the international front. It was only in 2013 after releasing a music video for the track “Ginseng Strip 2002” that he officially went viral; the video received over 2 million views on YouTube alone.

Also in 2013, he released two mixtapes, entitled “Sadboys2001” and “Unknown Death 2002,” both under his label Sad Boys Entertainment. He released his full-length debut album, “Unknown Memory,” this past September before hitting the road for the tour. He performs and records with beatmakers and producers Yung Sherman and Yung Gud, who perform under the name of the Sad Boys. Yung Lean and his crew will be playing across the United States and Canada.

Yung Lean has been nominated for a place in the XXL Freshmen Class with the videos he’s released on YouTube, having reached over millions in views. While his previous European tour has been well over sold-out, Yung Lean is more than thrilled to take on America in “The Black Marble Tour,” with 15 cities in 20 days. Opening for Lean and the Sad Boys will be Gravity Boys.

Yung Lean and the Sad Boys and Gravity Boys will be performing at the Regent Theater on Dec. 12. Tickets are available for purchase here.
