Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer, and The Lonely Island to Headline 2018 Clusterfest

For one weekend, some of the biggest names in comedy will be congregating in one of the most vibrant cities in the country when Comedy Central’s Clusterfest comes to San Francisco June 1-3. This year’s Clusterfest, the second installment of the comedy and music festival, will feature Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer, Trevor Noah, John Mulaney, Tiffany Haddish, Third Eye Blind, Wu-Tang Clan, and an act that combines the best of both worlds, The Lonely Island.

The Lonely Island, a trio of best friends — Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone — who first came to prominence making and starring in musical digital shorts on “Saturday Night Live,” will be the headlining act Friday night at the Civic Center Plaza. Despite having released four albums, The Lonely Island has never performed a live concert before, so their Clusterfest performance will sure to be a treat for those who get to hear songs like “Jizz in My Pants,” “I Just Had Sex,” and “Dick in a Box” live for the first time. No word yet whether Justin Timberlake will make an appearance. Other Friday night performers include Mulaney, Noah, Michael Che, Third Eye Blind and T-Pain.

Saturday at Clusterfest promises to be less testosterone-fueled, as Amy Schumer will be headlining. Recently married and now a bonafide movie star following the success of “I Feel Pretty,” it remains to be seen if her stand-up will continue to focus on the plight of the common woman and sexual misadventures. Preceding Schumer will be Tiffany Haddish, a comedian and actress who broke through in last year’s hit comedy “Girls Trip.” Iconic all-female hip-hop trio Salt-N-Pepa will also be performing Saturday, as well as Aussie comic Jim Jefferies, SNL newbie Chris Redd, Kate Berlant, and Sasheer Zamata. For something different, the hidden gems of YouTube and beyond will be showcased in “Kyle Mooney and Nathan Fielder’s Video Treasures.”

Jon Stewart, the former host of “The Daily Show” and a seminal political comedian, will be headlining Sunday, and fans can bet he will have a lot to say about the current state of affairs in D.C. In between Stewart’s set and that of “Arrested Development” star David Cross will be a performance from legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. Other Sunday highlights include Reggie Watts, a roast hosted by Jeff Ross, and Nikki Glaser.

In addition to all these performance, Clusterfest-goers can also step into the worlds of some of their favorite comedy TV shows. The South Park County Fair allows guests to enjoy classic carnival games with a “South Park” twist. The commander-in-chief’s finest social media postings will be showcases at the Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library, presented by “The Daily Show.” Those hankering for the experience of enjoying a cold one at the worst bar in Philly can hang out in a recreation of Paddy’s Pub from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Clusterfest will take place June 1-3 at the Civic Center Plaza and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA.
