David Duchovny to Sign Copies of ‘Holy Cow’ at The Grove
He’s had two pivotal roles in television, but David Duchovny’s latest book isn’t about any of that. It’s about a cow and he’s signing copies of it at Barnes & Noble at The Grove on February 18, 2015.
Actors are lucky if they land one defining role in their career. Duchovny has managed to have two so far. In 1993, Fox scored big time with “The X-Files” and even though it’s been off the air for over a decade, the man behind Mulder is still highly recognized because of the sci-fi show. While some would’ve hung it up, Duchovny wasn’t ready to retire and a handful of years after his hung up his FBI coat, he walked into his second wave on Showtime’s “Californication.” In 2007, he stepped into the mind of Hank Moody, an author never without a drink and a woman in his bed. With that coming to an end last year, he isn’t waiting as long to get back in the game. He has a show in the works for NBC, “Aquarius.”
Dubbed a “dairy tale,” “Holy Cow” follows the story of Elsie Bovary. She’s a typical cow, happy with her life until one night when she realized her owner has a harsh future planned for her. Quickly deciding that her life will not end on a meat farm, she bands together with a turkey that cannot fly but is handy with an iPhone and a pig that has converted to Judaism. Together they plan an escape and head out on a journey that’s full of life lessons.
Fans planning to attend the signing can pick up the book now, but are advised to save the receipt and return the day of the signing for a wristband to the event.
