‘Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey’ Host and Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson Comes to Pantages
It’s not exactly a common concept for a scientist to go on tour, but this year holds great news for those wanting to witness such a phenomenon. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will be spending a night with some lucky individuals in Hollywood, at the Pantages Theater on February 9.
It may seem strange that amongst the wide variety and forms of entertainment presented to appreciate, an event that features a lecture from a scientist would be one to sell out. Although, it’s true that the discoveries in science and space never cease to amaze, and regardless of all the simple, yet fun ways to distract the mind from thinking too hard, the human population is simply fascinated by the natural wonders of the world. As of recent, Dr. Tyson is one of the prominent figures who deserve credit for filling the world in on the space related portion of these discoveries, and apparently, the Los Angeles population agrees.
Besides the Emmy-nominated television series “Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey,” Tyson has written books, created a podcast and found other means of sharing his knowledge. The famous scientist has been recognized many times for his expertise in space and cosmic research, including receiving 18 honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal. Tyson is, clearly, an extremely gifted and respected individual with sufficient amounts of vital and yet, interesting information that audiences strive to acknowledge and learn from, whether it’s on television, radio or in person.
Although tickets have sold out, the website informs buyers to check back in case tickets become available again.
