Do Lab’s Lightning in a Bottle Comes to SoCal for Memorial Day Weekend

The warm weather is officially upon us, which means it’s finally music festival season. Coachella has already kick started the events, and this year Memorial Day will be taken over by Lightning in a Bottle.

Lightning in a Bottle is a unique festival that combines music, inspirational speakers, art, sustainability workshops, and yoga for all those truly in touch with their inner hippie. Taking place in Bradley, California, the festival is for visitors to camp and experience a genuine earthly experience.

The musical line-up includes Panda Bear, John Digweed, Flume, Jesse Wright, Reggae artist Rocky Dawuni, and a lot more. Film events include a screening of a documentary about Russell Brand’s struggle with substance abuse. Some workshop topics include regenerative ecology, intuition building, enlightened activism, and traditional skills such as carving and crafting.

Adding to the variety, dance and yoga rituals will also be taught to those looking for experiences that are more physical. Featured will be “The Learning Kitchen” where visitors can learn about vegan recipes, natural foods and remedies, and preserving.

The Temple of Consciousness represents the heart of the festival. The LIB website states, “Absolutely everything The Temple offers is designed to activate your body, expand your mind, and open your heart.” This festival is clearly something that will not only entertain, but also enlighten.

Do Art Foundation will be responsible for the creation of these art pieces created over the course of the weekend. Those interested will have the opportunity to take some of these art pieces home at the LIB silent auction that takes place at the end of the festival.

Tickets start at $120 for car camping passes, and go up to $500 for those bringing their RVs and in need of hookups. If you’re wondering how you’re going to get to Lightning in a Bottle, the event offers a pickup service. The service offers a bus ticket for a small fee to pick up festivalgoers from specific locations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara and San Diego.
