This year marks the 10th anniversary of the dineL.A. Restaurant Week, which returns for its 2018 winter season on January 12-26. There are more than 300 restaurants participating this year, offering prix fixe menus at special prices. The restaurants participating in the main series will offer lunch and/or dinner at three different price tiers. Lunches are $15, $20, or $25 per person while dinners run $29, $39, or $49 per person.
This year’s Restaurant Week will again offer the Exclusive Series, featuring some of Los Angeles’ best fine dining restaurants that will offer a special tasting menu starting from $95 per person. There are sixteen restaurants in this year’s Exclusive Series. Chef Josiah Citrin’s Melisse in Santa Monica will be serving a five-course menu for $99. Wolfgang Puck’s Spago is featuring a 13-course California tasting menu for $125 per person. The Bazaar by Jose Andres is offering a seven-course tasting for $100. Providence will be serving a five-course tasting for $100 or $150 with wine pairing. Other restaurants include Alexander’s Steakhouse, The Royce, Patina, Mastro’s Ocean Club, BOA Steakhouse, and the newly opened Jean-Georges Beverly Hills.
The main series also offers an opportunity to try some of the city’s acclaimed restaurants at a more approachable price point, including Marcel Vigneron’s Wolf, Kevin Meehan’s Kali Restaurant, and Neal Fraser’s Redbird. Some of the hottest new restaurants that opened in the past year are also participating, including Beauty and Essex, Rossoblu, Tsubaki, Adam Sobel’s new Cal Mare at the Beverly Center, and The Hearth & Hound, a restaurant by New York chef April Bloomfield which just opened in December. There are some great lunch deals starting at $15. Take a long lunch and get your fill with Hanjip’s $15 all you can eat Korean barbecue. New Italian darling Uovo in Santa Monica is also offering a $15 lunch along with sushi hand-roll specialist KazuNori.
American Express card holders can enroll their card and use it during dineL.A. Restaurant Week to get $10 back each time they spend $30 or more.
