Moby to Perform Three Nights at Hollywood Forever

Moby was arguably the most important player in the rise of popularity of techno music. In the early 90s, he brought a face to a genre largely composed of anonymous DJs, and provided a unique, yet easily digestible sound to the starved masses of listeners out there just longing for something new. With the release of his hit album, “Everything is Wrong” back in 1995, Moby cemented himself into the psyche of everyone that stepped foot into a trendy nightclub.

Moby’s influence is matched only by the controversy surrounding him. However, he is best known for aiding in the acceptance of techno and electronica music into mainstream airwaves, how many hear his name and still think ‘radical Christian with a pension for saving the earth one vegan at a time?’

Moby will be re-releasing his second album, “Ambient,” originally released 1993. This time around, Moby has decided to add new and extended tracks. The new songs are detailed, beat driven, with a dark and moody undertone

Moby has thankfully scheduled three shows in our own backyard for the first ever Ambient world tour. This string of all-ages shows will be held at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever December 16, 17, and 18. Like most works of art, it isn’t until they’ve resurfaced that they can be truly appreciated. Believe us, this album is definitely better the second time around.

Moby will be playing at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery for three nights from Dec. 16-18. Tickets are available here.
