U.R. Art Festival Finale September 7

Popular DJ friends Philip Jung (M.A.N.D.Y.), Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation) and John Wander (Roam Music) decided to bring their nightly magic to daytime with their summer series, the U.R. Art Festival. Held at sun-loving Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station, the Festival closes out the season this weekend on September 7. The final outdoor dance party starts at 1 p.m. headlined by the Festival’s co-founders with additional sets by DJs Michael Cook, Crazy Larry and Music Savages, who will keep the deep house and techno beats flowing all afternoon and evening. Tired of dancing? Wellness Oasis will host yoga on the dance floor as well because, after all, this is Santa Monica!

Besides dancing, there’s fashion curated all summer by music-centric fashion collective Serpent + Stag, whose aesthetic focuses on beach, warehouse and desert environments. This month, S + S bring Designers Danielle Santos, Teeki, Trashbag Diaries, Jules and Kahoy to style the party and showcase their wares. Expect innovation, interaction and intensity. If you’re not dressed for the occasion, you’ll surely be ready for the next one by the time you leave.

Chilean Contemporary Muralist Ivo Vargara and Venice-based Graffiti Artist Mario Arteaga return for the fourth installment of the Festival to paint live to the beat and spread the love and art around. Work created by both artists as well as other special guests from previous U.R. Art installments will decorate the Station and surely be available for purchase.

Snacks, small bites and adult treats abound with food by Chef Rob Thorland and craft cocktails by mixologists from Pattern Bar. To support U.R. Art’s effort to be a zero-waste, sustainable event, all the food and drink packaging is recyclable or compostable, and stainless-steel reusable water bottles are available for sale, along with unlimited alkaline water from Beyond O2. And Ecoboom ensures the entire event runs on solar power.

So before saying goodbye to summer, stop by Bergamot Station for the Festival and prepare to dance. This will surely be a day of fun, fashion and food that can delight all of your senses.
