A Skylit Drive and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Bring Their Rock to The Whiskey

Fans of harder rock in the Los Angeles area commence because A Skylit Drive and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are teaming up and coming to The Whisky on March 15.

A Skylit Drive formed back when homework was due on a daily basis in high school. In 2007, they released their debut EP, “She Watched the Sky,” and then spent their time touring with big names in their hard rock scene such as Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Greeley Estates, Alesana and Skrillex. They took their first step into music with “From First to Last.” A year later they dropped their debut LP, “Wires…and the Concept of Breathing.” From that point on they were consistent and never let more than a couple of years pass without giving their fans new music. They just re-released 2013’s “Rise” with six new tracks to hold fans over to the next album.

Sharing the stage that night with A Skylit Drive will be Jacksonville’s The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. They’ve been a band over a decade and have toured heavily since their formation thanks to their 2006 hit album “Don’t You Fake It.” On that album resides their biggest single to date, “Face Down.” It was this rock track about domestic violence that could not be missed that year. That was their big year but diehards stuck around and have been loyal, buying up their other releases – including 2014’s “4.” Fans can expect to hear the hit, but also other tracks from them like “Twilight” and “The Right Direction.”

It’s going to be a rocking evening out with A Skylit Drive and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus alone, but like an infomercial late at night – there’s more. Joining these heavy hitters will be post-hardcore’s Wolves At The Gate, and a cascade of Southern California bands, San Diego’s For The Win, Amara from the OC and Covina’s Of Euphoria. Each band has that hard rock style that will leave The Whisky shaking all night – which is to be expected from that little, historical gem on the Sunset Strip.

A Skylit Drive and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus play The Whisky on March 15. Tickets can be purchased here.
