TV On The Radio Sowed Their Seeds at Palladium

With the weekend just starting, fans of TV On The Radio flocked to the streets of Hollywood for their show at the Palladium on April 3. With the world famous Amoeba in sight, fans waited with anticipation outside the venue, wondering just what was in store. Diehards knew it was going to be spectacular, newcomers stood curious and significant others dragged along for company wanted to know when doors would open. It was the usual concert crowd, but the show itself was anything but ordinary.

Three years after both a loss and their last record, the band showed their perseverance and released 2014’s “Seeds.” Now a four-piece, TV On The Radio delivered their soul pop sound throughout the night playing a healthy set of 15 songs; from the new to the classics that fans have loved for years. They opened the night with 2003’s “Young Liars” and then sprinkled fan favorites “Winter” and “Trouble” in the middle. After a dozen tracks, they took a quick break and came back strong to finish with a trio that included “Ride,” “Dancing Choose” and closed with the sing-along “Staring at the Sun.”

TV On The Radio highlighted that despite darkness, they’ve been able to continue for not only themselves but for their fans. While they’re done with LA, the band is still on tour throughout May in the states before heading overseas this summer.
